EDITORIAL STANDARDS

Useful information
requires clear standards.

Our publishing standards center on evidence, clear explanations, transparent commercial relationships and a way for readers to report errors.

01 /

Scope

Our publications aim to offer clear, useful technology information. The right approach depends on the subject, the available evidence and the context in which readers will use it.

02 /

Research & verification

Our aim is to explain what supports a guide and where instructions depend on a device, software version or service. Research-based coverage should be distinguishable from direct experience or testing.

03 /

Hands-on work

Where hands-on experience or testing informs an article, we aim to make that context clear. Not every article is based on direct device testing; some coverage relies on research and available documentation.

04 /

AI in our work

AI is part of how we research, write, update and produce content. Its output can be incomplete or incorrect. AKIC remains responsible for what its publications publish.

05 /

Commercial relationships

Sponsored material should be clearly identified. Advertising arrangements do not remove our responsibility for the accuracy and presentation of published information.
