Who We Are
This Privacy Policy is issued by AK Internet Consulting, Inc. (“AK Internet Consulting,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 11703 Trotter Point Ct, Clarksville, MD 21029. You can reach us at akishore@akinternetconsulting.com.
This Policy covers two things: (1) this website, akinternetconsulting.com, and (2) our internal tools used by our own team to operate our business, including our internal video publishing tool (“AKIC Video Publisher”). It does not cover any third-party website or service we merely link to.
Information We Collect
On this website, we collect:
- Contact emails you send us. If you email us or use a link on this site that opens a draft email, we receive whatever information you choose to include (such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message).
- Usage data via Google Analytics 4. This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4 tag
G-WP2JL04H61) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location. This data is aggregated and used for analytics purposes; see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
YouTube API Services
We operate an internal tool (AKIC Video Publisher) that uses YouTube API Services to upload and manage videos on YouTube channels owned by AK Internet Consulting, Inc.. This tool is used only by our own team to manage our own channels. No third-party users sign in through this tool, and we do not access, collect, or store data about any other YouTube users or channels.
Data we access. Through YouTube API Services, our tool accesses data belonging to our own channels only: video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails), playlist contents, captions, and public statistics (such as view counts) for our own videos. We use this data solely to confirm successful uploads, prevent duplicate publishing, and measure the performance of our own content.
Data we store. The API data we store is limited to our own video IDs, associated metadata, and statistics. This data is kept on our own servers and is refreshed or deleted within 30 days of retrieval, in accordance with YouTube API Services Terms of Service data retention requirements, except for aggregate, non-identifying statistics we may retain longer for internal reporting.
No third-party sharing. We do not share YouTube API data we access or store with any third party.
By using AKIC Video Publisher or any other feature that relies on YouTube API Services, you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. You can review how Google handles data more generally in the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access. Any authorization our tool has been granted to a Google/YouTube account can be revoked at any time by visiting Google's security settings page and removing the application's access.
Deletion requests. To request deletion of data we hold via YouTube API Services, email akishore@akinternetconsulting.com. We will delete the data within 7 days of a verified request.
Cookies
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to distinguish visitors and measure site usage, as described above. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking cookies may limit some site functionality.
Data Retention
We keep contact emails as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and for our business records. YouTube API Services data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days as described above. GA4 usage data is retained according to Google's standard Analytics retention settings.
Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls on our internal tools and servers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
This website and our internal tools are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will update the effective date above.
